Functional Medicine

The body is an integrated biological system — not a collection of unrelated symptoms. Every hormone signal, immune response, metabolic pathway, and neurologic pattern is interconnected.

Functional Medicine is a systems-based clinical model that identifies and addresses the underlying drivers of dysfunction. Rather than asking, “How do we suppress this symptom?” it asks:

  • What upstream inputs are creating this pattern?
  • Where is regulation breaking down?
  • Which systems are compensating — and which are depleted?

It evaluates structure, metabolism, inflammation, detoxification, stress physiology, gut integrity, nutrient status, genetics, and recovery capacity as part of one coordinated network.

Care is personalized, data-guided, and root-cause focused. The goal is not temporary suppression — it is restoration of functional capacity.

Health is not chased in moments of crisis.

It is rebuilt — deliberately, strategically, and in the correct order.

Genomics

Genes provide potential. Environment shapes expression.

Nutrigenomics examines how nutrition, environment, and lifestyle may influence genetic expression over time. While we do not change genes, we can make informed, strategic decisions that support how they are expressed.

Input shapes output. Consistency shapes outcome.

Chiropractic Care

Alignment is not cosmetic. It is neurological.

Structure influences function. Function influences performance.

Chiropractic care in this practice focuses on restoring mechanical balance and supporting proper communication within the nervous system — allowing the body to adapt, recover, and operate more efficiently.

The goal is not temporary relief. It is a better function.

A Shared Commitment to Building Better Health

Health is not something we chase in moments of crisis. It is something we build — deliberately, patiently, and over time.

Dr. Marios Michael has spent more than two decades helping individuals to better understand how their bodies function as integrated systems. His work blends chiropractic care, clinical nutrition, Functional Medicine, and Clinical Genomics into an integrated approach grounded in structure, strategy, and science.

As a Doctor of Chiropractic, Certified Nutrition Specialist, Certified Functional Medicine Practitioner, and certified in Genetics and Genomics through Stanford University, Dr. Michael brings both depth of education and breadth of experience to his practice. But credentials are not the foundation — understanding patterns is.

He believes the body is designed for adaptation. When structure is aligned, metabolism is supported, and stress and recovery are balanced, capacity improves. Not instantly. Not magically. But measurably.

Care in this practice begins with listening, evaluating, and identifying where someone is today — and where they want to be. From there, strategy follows. Systems are strengthened. Progress becomes intentional.

Creating meaningful change in someone’s life is never transactional. It is shared. When people regain clarity, energy, and direction, it reinforces the purpose behind the work.

Outside of practice, Dr. Michael invests in the same principles he teaches — movement, discipline, family, and lifelong learning. Health is not a slogan. It is a commitment lived daily.
